Part of this team will facilitate the block party by cooking and serving food, playing outdoor games like basketball and soccer, and more! While the party is going, others on this team will connect with people throughout the neighborhood, intentionally encouraging them and praying for the needs they may have. This is a great opportunity for you if you speak Spanish. Open to everyone, Feed The City is powered by people like you—families, friends, schools, and churches—coming together to make a difference. Join us to create hope, one meal at a time. Volunteers bring supplies - loaves of bread, deli meat, cheese, mustard, chips, tangerines & zip lock bags, gather at a local venue (Welltown Brewing 14 West Archer Street, Tulsa 74103), and work together to pack meals for those in need. Once we finish making the meals, we will go to Iron Gate (501 W Archer St, Tulsa, OK 74103) to distribute.

Did you know: 1 in 5 kids in Oklahoma struggle daily with hunger? Eastern Food Bank is making a difference! This is a great volunteer opportunity for the whole family to help organize food donations that will immediately benefit those in need in our communities. Our team will gather at the COTM TULSA LOCATION to intercede for our Love Day partners in the community and those who are out in the field and participating in Love Day. Location: 1003 N 129th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74116

Iron Gate is Tulsa’s largest stand alone soup kitchen and food pantry. They provide food assistance services in 3 areas: Soup Kitchen, Grocery Pantry and Kid’s Pantry. Join us on Love Day as we help them prepare for upcoming (mid-week) food pantry days. Please remember to tie back shoulder-length hair or longer, and kindly refrain from wearing open-toed shoes, sleeveless shirts, and shorts for safety reasons. When you arrive, please use the west gate off of Archer, park at the back of the building, and ring the bell at the glass door for entry. 501 W. Archer St., just west of the Day Center for the Homeless. *release form required, it will be sent to you after registration.

Come and help in John 3:16 Mission's Distribution Center by sorting, organizing, cleaning, etc.

By helping with these unseen tasks, you will be supporting our Distribution Center Staff as well as our Mission Goods Store. We stock our Mission Goods store with gently used, donated items that are offered for FREE to families on a tight budget and limited resources. Guests are free to come to the store during the week and “shop” to get items they need for their households.

We have some pergola swings by our pond that needs some wood repairs to the benches. The project could also include repair and staining some benches. We also have a dilapidated structure that will need to be demolished and discarded.

We are partnering with Kerr Elementary School as they serve students and families with a block party at the school. There will be outside games like, face painting, races, and food. Reading Partners will also be there to sign people up to serve in the Fall. This event is engaging and fun for the whole family. Water and snacks will be provided. This project is dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive families! As these families open their hearts and homes to children in need, we want to walk alongside them on this journey. We are partnering with the Legacy Family Network, an organization that provides essential support to children & parents in foster and adoptive homes. We are hosting a special event on the lawn of Oneighty from 9AM - 11AM, inviting families from the network as well as our own COTM foster and adoptive families. Join us for a day filled with fun, food, and fellowship! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, build relationships, and demonstrate the love of Jesus.

We are excited to support the Little Light House by hosting them and their families as they graduate dozens of amazing kids on Friday, July 18. Little Light House is designed to help children and families overcome limitations and grow in confidence. They have helped thousands of kids improve their speech, physical, perceptual, and sensory integration skills while providing education and support to the parents. We want to create a welcoming and loving atmosphere for the amazing staff and families who are connected to the Little Light House. One Hope Tulsa is one of our COTM partners and we are so excited about the community event they are hosting on Love Day. This family-friendly event is designed to bring our community together with an afternoon of laughter, food, and unforgettable activities for all ages. We will also have a team that goes out to canvas the neighborhood and invite neighbors to the event beforehand.

Join us for Love Day & Super Serve Saturday at TDC North for a family friendly event that truly touches lives in North Tulsa. From Adopt A Block activities including neighborhood canvassing to promote upcoming events, praying with families, and maybe even mowing their lawn to other projects including boxing groceries to give away and sorting resources, ie clothing and school supplies, there is something for everyone. Put on your work boots/shoes and let's get to work on the ranch! We'll be partnering with COTM West location to help with projects all over the ranch, including mowing and landscaping, cleaning up the barn, and working pole saws and chain saws. There will be projects available that all ages can join in on. Tulsa Hills Youth Ranch exists to bring healing to the brains of traumatized youth and hope to their caregivers, and seeks to provide a welcoming place for kids to feel loved, accepted and heard through a purposeful relationship with a mentor. Through our physical efforts and hard work, we help provide an incredible atmosphere for this to happen.
